Sandcast a ring with a gemstone… no experience necessary
What: 6 Hour wax carving and sand casting workshop
Cost: 375€/ 1 person, 645€/ 2 people, or reach out for group rates. Includes up to 15 grams Sterling Silver, synthetic stones, wax, studio tools, and handouts. If you wish to make a heavier ring, additional silver is available for purchase, as are natural sapphires and diamonds.
Part 1
We will start carving a simple band or signet ring in wax and discuss technical considerations of sand casting. The casting process and safety protocols will be demonstrated and if there is time you will begin casting your rings.
Part 2
We will begin by casting your rings in silver if we have not yet, and then discuss the varying processes for filing, sanding and polishing. You will do every step of the process yourself and leave with a ring that you made with your own 2 hands.

This course is designed with the beginner in mind, so no experience, no problem. I will demonstrate every step and guide you thru the process. If there is something you aren’t comfortable with, I am happy to step in and assist.
