What: 12 Hour group wax carving and sand casting workshop
When: Per mutual availability to be split up over multiple days
Where: Volksluxus, Naunynstr 52 10999
Cost: 750€/ 1 person, 1250€/ 2 people. Includes all wax, studio tools, and handouts, up to 30g silver per student, and synthetic stones. Additional silver, sapphires, and diamonds will be available for purchase.
Part 1
We will start carving a simple band or signet ring in wax and discuss technical considerations of sand casting
Part 2
We finish your pieces in wax, cast them into solid forms, and begin sanding and polishing. At the end of the class there will be a brief introduction to casting stones and objects in place, and casting found objects
Parts 3 and 4
You will have the option to complete your first piece if needed, try casting a found object, or try casting stones or other objects in place.
